Clustering Analysis on Sustainable Development Goal Indicators for Forty-Five Asian Countries

This paper draws upon the United Nations 2022 data report on achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) across following four dimensions: economic, social, environmental and institutional. Ward’s method was applied to obtain clustering results for forty-five Asian countries understand their level progress overall trends in achieving SDGs. We identified varying degrees correlation between dimensions. The show that East performed poorly economic dimension, while some Southeast Asia Central West relatively well. Regarding social institutional dimensions, indicate better than others. Finally, South showed performance other countries. insights gathered from this study can inform policymakers these about own country’s position SDGs relation countries, as they work towards establishing strategies improving sustainable development targets.
